- Isaac Middleton establishes Accumulator Services
- Isaac buys closed down pub The Newburgh Arms as his house
1940s
- Newburgh is established in 1939 by Isaac Middleton
- Expands during the war and moves into high nickel content fittings for ice cream industry
1950s
- Starts to supply the British Nuclear Industry
- Foundry set up to supply high integrity castings for the glass industry
1960s
- In 1960 Isaac retires as MD and hands over to his children
- Newburgh expands continuously and gains the reputation for being the best in the UK
1970s
- The Bradwell site continues to grow, serving many industrial sectors
- Established as the company with quality at its core
1980s
- Jobbing environment with many large contracts in power generation and defence
- Cellular Manufacturing and Lean are introduced to Newburgh
1990s
- Isaac’s grandchildren take over the business
- Cellular and Lean taken to another level
2000s
- Sizeable single source contracts won across many sectors
- Bespoke facility built in Rotherham to find skills
2010s
- More contract wins & the skills agenda sorted
- Rotherham site moves more towards Oil & Gas
- Business succumbs to its final salary pension scheme after decades of costly Government interventions
- Business is bought by Nuclear Energy Components to carry on the Newburgh Legacy
2020s
- NEC continues to go from strength to strength with an exciting future ahead
2022
- We became an Employee-Owned Business
- Introduced automation investing in 2 new Haas machines – a vertical machining centre and a lathe along with a new robot that will provide automatic loading and unloading of components
